Parent responsibility

My 17 year old son found out his girlfriend is pregnant, She is saying she wants to keep it, what are my responsabilities as a parent if this 17 year old boy to support this girl and child? He will be going to college in the fall.

You do not have any responsibilities. Your son however, has to provide the baby's mother with 17 percent of his income. If he does not have any income he has to get a part time job with an income. Unless he can convince the baby's mother to hold in abeyance any demands for support until after college or (if you think your son would qualify) graduate school. All agreements should be in writing and drafted by a lawyer. Your son may have to make up the difference with a heavier support burden after graduation.

I would contact a local family law attorney now. This will cost you money but this is not the type of situation where you should be counting pennies.
