Legal Question in Family Law in New York

i have been seperated from my wife for over 5 years, she is living with someone else and has a child with him and another on the way. a few days ago i got a summons for a credit card bill that i have never heard of or authorized and now i find out she put it in my name and ran it up to $ 1500 and never paid it and they are coming after me. am i responsible for this bill?

You may be responsible if you do not fight the issue. I would immediately suggest that you run a credit report and determine what if any other cards exsist that you did not open. Then I would get to a lawyer and let him advise me as to whether or not I should go to police. Your wife may be committing identity theft and credit card fraud.
