Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

Car Dealer lying about Prices that they advertise!! on 9 sites!!

I found the car I wanted to buy on MANY web sites for 1 place where I wanted to buy the car.I called and spoke w/salesperson and mentioned the price of $7,999.00 and he agreed that was the price. When I got to the dealer I bought the car but made the mistake of signing to quickly. When I noticed he put the price of $8,999.00 I said something,He told me if I had the ad he would have to give it to me for that price all i had was the paper I wrote it on...Big Mistake..I know...Needless to say I called later that day and told him I found MY CAR on 9 different sites for the price of $7,999.00. At this time the was still on the car lot and not registered or insured by me.I told them I want out of the sale and they told me too late they put the Title in my name and if I didn't take the car they would drop it in my driveway.Unbelieveable these morons..Needless to say I want to know if I have a small claims suit against this dealership. I feel Robbed..I know ya can't trust car salesman...

The best that can be said is that if you have the advertisement you might have grounds for suit, however as a purely tactical move for the $40 or so that you'll spend on a filing fee for a small claims suit and the night or two that you may have to spend in court, filing a suit might get the salesperson to think differently on compromising your claim, it's something to consider, so long as you would be filing the suit in good faith and with some basis to belief in the justification of your claim.
