Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York

Hi. I am currently in USA in H4 visa. It will expire in 2015. I will start my masters soon and it will end in 2016. Should I have to leave usa before I complete my studies? Or are there any ways to continue my studies.. Can I change it too a F1 visa? If yes then how can I do that? I am going to college under full payment.

Thanks.

Your University should have an office dedicated to foreign students & F-1 visas. You need to obtain Form I-20 from the University, then you can file Form I-539 to change your status. However, USCIS usually requires students to obtain their F-1 visa at the U.S. Consulate in their home country, so don't be surprised if your change of status is not approved. Again, speak with your Student Adviser first.
