Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

I was assaulted at work by a customer who seemed to be mentally ill. I had one encounter with her before the attack where she cursed and screamed at me. I called security and by the time backup came she left the store. I told them to watch the doors and make sure she doesn't come back, 30minslater she walked back in coming back for me. Another employee tried to stop her from trying to get to me while she was being punched and kicked. She eventually got free lunged towards me and aimed for my 7months pregnant stomach. Punching me twice in the stomach. Security was being called by employees over and over while everything was happening and they managed to come after everything was over and then letting her leave again. Police where called and she was eventually arrested and will be charged with assault. I was taken to the hospital right away and stayed for 24hrs To monitor that the baby was ok. I was released and was advised to stay off of my feet because I've been having contractions n to prevent having a per mature birth which stops me from doing my job at work. Is there a way I can receive compensation for my lost wages??
