Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

Intern Hours

Dear Law Gurus,

I was an intern architect at an architecture office in NYC for 9 months from 2008-2009. As graduate architects, we need to acquire a certain amount of hours doing specific things in an arch. office, as related to the field. In February 2009, I moved from NY and subsequently quit my job at this office. My former bosses will not approve for my hours which I have submitted online. 9 months is a significant amount of time which I would like credited for. Is there any way of making them accountable for this? They simply do not reply to my requests, and I can no longer speak to them physically, as I no longer live in the country.

Please help. Thanks.

Re: Intern Hours

If you worked for them, and the company did not pay you, or provide credit: the NY Department of Labor should be able to help. They would investigate it if it was wages. They ought to for credit as well.
