Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

Lost employment coz of jelaous collegue
My ex-collegue (we were also lunch buddies) was a consultant just like me, and was offered a full time position with the company (which was offered to me..but she back stabbed me). Then she told me a secret that if let out would mean her getting fired.

Then our friendship broke off..and she started to fill bad things about me to the boss and started to tell the boss that I intimidated her at work. I have email proof that she was the one being hostile at work.

Atlast when i went to talk to her to clear the air, as the boss had suggested, the co-worker falsely ran to another manager and started crying that i threated her. Totally lying coz she knew she was an employee and i was a consultant and they would have to protect her.

they asked me to leave even though I had 3 months left on my contract. And she is there in the job after she got me wrongfully fired.

I now want to sue her for the 3 months of pay that were due to me, also i have not managed to get a job (bad financial situation), and cannot sue the company as they are entitled to fire consultants as needed.

It is just that this ex-collegue has caused me my reputation and loss of three months pay and mental and emotional distress
