eviction question

When dealing with an eviction who

serves the court documents? Also

is a photocopy legal instead of an

acctual court document? Can a

person appeal the decison on it for

the money amount?

Re: eviction question

It depends on the document. Warrants are served by a Sheriff or Marshal. The Notice of Petition and Petition are served by a process server. Motion papers are served by a non-party to the proceedings.

After a trial (or a loss on a motion) a person has the right of appeal.
