Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

Illegal Sublet

Been subletting apt in NYC Housing Authority for 4 years.Person I am renting from told me yesterday that I had until today to move out(Myself, husband , 3 daughters & pets)because she was moving to St.Croix and turning in the apartment TODAY. Afraid that she will turn in apt. without telling me and they will confiscate my apt. FULL of possesions. Not trying to keep apt. just want enough time to find a new one.....what r my options ? Verbal agreement but I can prove I have been there for 4 years. She took this months rent and said she is leaving next week.
