landlord lease

would like to know how long a landlord has before they have to return my security to me . they told me they have uo to 30 days before they have to return my money to me i still havent recieved any thing as of today. i didnt even have a walk through with them to see what was wrong all they did was tell me on the phone.

Your landlord was correct. He has thirty days to return your security minus costs for any alleged damages to the premises. Should he allege damages demand that you be permitted access to the apartment with both a video camera and a still camera to seek out the damages. If they decline to permit you in the apartment for a walkabout, inform that their failing to provide any proof to you of the so called damages while deducting the sum from your security will leave you with no other alternative but to force you to seek the remedies of the Court to recover any outstanding sums and follow thru with a Small Claims Case to recover those sums.
