Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

Examination Before Trial

I have an EBT soon. I was arrested twice but not convicted of anything in the past. Will this likely be brought up during the EBT as a means to discredit me?

Re: Examination Before Trial

While criminal convictions (i.e. felonies or misdemeanors) are almost always admissible in a civil trial, arrests are not. That doesn't mean an overly-aggressive attorney won't ask you about arrests just to get under your skin.

Hope this helps.
