Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

Military doc messed up sons hand, wart removal

It was to be simple, 6 small warts on hand. THe dr. inflicked 4th Degree burns. This is the layer on the tendons. The head burn dr. is in shock over the hand, he said my son might lose the ends of 2 fingers at joints. An may only have 20% use of hand after all the tendon tranplants an skin grafts. Also burnt through the nerves. Army has him on conv. leave for now but may medboard him in the weeks to come. The Dr. told us to get a good lawyer because he went way WRONG.....what should we do about the army doc. Happened at Ft. Drum NY

Take plenty of photos, accumulate reports and get the names and addresses of all doctors and hospitals. Further tell your boy to keep a pain diary in which he writes down how he was disabled by the hand through either pain or disfigurement. Most importantly, get to a lawyer right away.

You need a lawyer who has experience in medical malpractice military and federal law.
