Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

My roommate gave me permission to use his car to take a friend home saturday, i skidded into a snowbank around the corner from my house in my residential area. I could not push it out so i went home to call my brother so he could come with his truck and pull me out. When we went back it had been towed. I found out it had been impounded that day, could not find out any other information they said until today. Today all i found out is there is a hit and run hold on my car and ive called around and everyone is telling me that in the entire city of buffalo there is only one guy who handles hit and runs and hes off work till Thursday while my roommates car is racking up storage fees.

Call the insurance carrier and report the claim. If there is full coverage for this vehicle, the insurance carrier should take care of the claim, otherwise, you will have to pay all the expenses in connection with the accident, unless the driver/owner of the hit and run vehicle is found.
