Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

adverse possession

My husband & I have owned our home for 5 years and we have a shared driveway with the neighbors. We have 6 acres and he has about 12. He claims that where we park our cars (across from my garage) is part of his property which is 15 ft. This area of property is paved and has been for many years. He is constantly harassing us about what we can & cannot park in this area. In between both his home & ours sits a lot of trees and woods. He also takes pictures of these cars (sometimes there is my husband's work truck) and has called the town to complain. Even the town knows hes a pain in the ... I would appreciate a professional opinion. Thank you.

Re: adverse possession

Get a survey. It will show the property line. You don't get adverse possession in five years, if ever under these circumstances.
