Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

i bought my ex out of house. i've been paying the mortgage and taxes exclusively myself for the last 2 years. i have had sole occupancy. The escrow check was supposed to come to my residence it didn't come. I called the bank and they told me the would reissue the check. A few weeks later a check came. When I deposited the check in had a stop on it. I called the bank, my exhusband put a stop payment on it and had the check sent to his house. He deposited the check into his account no endorsement. Since I've been paying the mortgage and taxes for last 2 years leading up to buy out of him I should be entitled to all the escrow.

If you can verify this, you probably have a claim against your husband. You may have to sue to get it back.
