Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

After Closing a defect found that was disclosed incorrectly

I purchased a house in the Buffalo, NY area in Feb 07. I had a home inspection done and everything was given an OK. The inspector indicated that no plumbing was inspected to do the sellers having the water shut off (they were now living in the home). The diclosure indicated the plumbing was in working order. In my final walkthru my realestate agent turned the water on. We found the watersoftner to be bad and leaking. The seller replaced it. We closed. My first shower in my lower bathroom leaked like crazy from the shower handle. I contacted my closing attorney and he said to have it fixed and send the invoice to him and he will forward it to the seller. Here it's now Aug 07 and my attorney refuses to send the information to the seller because he claims this should of been found out during the home inspection. The cost of repair was 738.00. Additionally, the garage has water and I waited for warmer weather to turn on the water in the garage. Low and behold a line leaked because the lines were not properly blown out when water was shut off. This repair was 339.40. What can I do?
