Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
My girlfriend inherited her mothers home in upstate NY. The home is still not in her name because lawyer handling the estate has been dragging his feet for a few years now and not returning her calls. there are taxes due. my question is what she should do about the taxes. How can we lite a fire under the lawyer's butt. And can she fire him and obtain all information to give another lawyer.

Weird. Has the estate gone too probate? The appointed fiduciary must convey a deed.
