Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

When a house is bought by cash, what kind of papers the purchaser is expected to receive from attorney at and after the closing to prove proper ownership? I paid for title insurance too. I receive no papers after three months of closing.

You should have received a copy of the deed, a copy of the "title report & certificate of title" which should have been "re-dated" to show you as the owner. Depending on how the closing was conducted, there might also be a "Uniform Settlement Statement HUD-1" also known as a "RESPA Closing Statement."

If you will tell me the address (or section/block/lot) of the property, I can verify if the deed has been recorded.
