Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

i lost land

I purchased my house and land 12 years ago(1.75 acres)thru a real estate agent.Neighbor purchased vacant lot next to mine and started to build on it. I found out that I lost 7/10th of an acre that appears on my deed and survey map.I have been paying taxes on this land for the past 12 years.I know I need a lawyer but would like to know what my options are?

You property is in the process of being taken by adverse possession. Your neighbor could legally take this property. However, he/she can't just steal it. They have to have a belief that they are entitled to it. You need to make a move - and quickly at that. If you wish to contact me, please do.

You need to bring a "Quiet Title" action against your neighbor in Supreme Court ASAP.

You do not say how long your neighbor has owned the property next door or just how "you lost" 7/10 of an acre. More details are needed to further comment.
