Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

Property Taxes - Oneida county

My name appears on a deed for a small camp & 5acres. It was deeded to my brother & me from my mother, but the tax bill goes to him and he knows the camp is his, as is the whole tax bill. If he fails to pay the property taxes am I legally responsible for the taxes when the bill has always gone to him.

Failure to pay the taxes will result in a lien being placed on the property and eventual tax taking (forfeiting title) with sale to satisfy the debt.
