Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

my grandfather and uncle passed away leaving my father and his siblings a portion of the estates per stirpes... most of the assets are undistributed at this point.. my father just passed away, would the assets be then split between me and my sibling.. or go off what is stated in my fathers will. this is NY

The distribution from the Wills of your grandfather and uncle goes into your father's estate, since he survived them, but passed away before receiving anything. As part of his estate, his Will controls how these distributions are ultimately distributed to his heirs.
