No facts have been specified as to how and under what type of document the life estate and remainder interests were created. Depending on what type of document was used, different types of documents may be necessary. For example, if the interests are in real estate, a new Deed may be required. If created under a document like a Will or trust agreement, a written disclaimer and renunciation may be required. Contact me directly for more assistance.
