Legal Question in Workers Comp in New York

Had a back injury. Case was left open under partially permanently disabled, so no settlement was awarded. At what point or time is there ever a closure? Or does it remain open for ever? Is there an age where you could become eligible to close it?

Whenever you want to. You first need to approach the carrier and ask them if they are interested in a Section 32. Usually section 32's are x years of compensation at your current rate. You will have to look at the guidelines to see how long you would be paid at your partial disability rate.
