Legal Question in Workers Comp in New York

I was injured by wreckless children in a sledding accident which put me out of work for 3 months. I broke 7 ribs and will never be the same. I am a Landscape Architect and my health is very important. How can i recieve money from the family?

From what you have described you have at least two possilbe options. First, if you were actually working at the time of the incident you may be able to recover workers compensation benefits which are for workers injured 'out of and in the course of employment'. Second, if you believe there is some 'liability' on the reckless children then you may be able to bring a lawsuit against them and should seek an attorney to counsel you in that matter. Good luck.
