Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Nigeria

Could this be legitimate?

I received an email from an attorney in Nigeria stating I am entitled to an inheritance of 18 million. I can claim 60% and he will get 40%. It states I do not need to be related by blood. I do not know the person who died and I am wondering if this is legitimate? How can I find out? Is there a risk in responding to this attorney? His return address is listed as Calabar, Nigeria.

Re: Could this be legitimate?

No, it is more than likely not remotely legitimate. It is normally a scam, like this one http://www.wkyc.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=48104.

I would not recommend responding or, at the very least, do more research online on these sorts of scams. These scams are very common. Do not be another victim.
