Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

My ex took out a loan (mortage) against my home, and both of us was paying half. He married a lady, in which it was understood that he would pay his half and I would continue to pay my half. In January of this year I received no more payments. I could'nt pay my half and his half, I had to file Bankruptcy to keep my home. The balance on the loan was about $10,000.00 ($5,000.00 ea). How can I get the money that he still owes toward this loan (which the loan is in his name)?

If he won't pay voluntarily, then you can sue him. Would need to consult with an attoreny regarding your options.
