I can help for a reasonable fee.

I am going out of town, but if you email it to me, I can look it over if you prefer. Fill out as much as you can on your own (make a copy and scan and email it). Or send me a list of your questions.

You are generally right though - they want cash. They can freeze your bank account, but there are things that you can do to avoid that. There is no wage garnishment, which is good.

You also can settle the debt (again, I can do that for you for a reasonable fee) for less than what is owed, but I need to know your circumstances.

If this is a credit card debt, do you owe other debts and would it make sense to file for bankruptcy? Depending on your situation, if you have not done so already, get a free consult with a bankruptcy attorney to see if that is an option for you. I can discuss bankruptcy generally, but I am not a bankruptcy attorney nor will I necessarily have access to all of your information about your debts and assets the way a bankruptcy attorney would.
