If you are in North Carolina, none of what you said makes any sense - which is fine, you aren't expected to know legal terminology. Separation's aren't filed. Are you saying a Separation Agreement was drafted where the date of separation is fraudulent? If so - so what? Just don't sign it. North Carolina is a no fault state - you don't need 'grounds' for a divorce. Are you saying she was threatening to file a fraudulent divorce action so that an open civil action might prevent your deployment? If so, why would you give a crap let alone how is that even remotely blackmail? If she files a divorce action with a fraudulent separation date and you can prove it, then she has committed perjury and will likely be in a heap of felony criminal trouble - depending on your exact circumstances some people would tell her to please go ahead and feel free to file. As to what to do to protect yourself well first, don't let a woman bully you, second, don't sign things you know to be fraudulent and third, if you are in the Jacksonville area, come see us - we'll put her in her place for you if that's what you want.
