Legal Question in Civil Litigation in North Carolina

Legality of having Minors at a party - North Carolina. We are part of a social group that has a large contingent of people under 18. We want to have a Halloween party for the entire group, underage and adult, but we are concerned about liability of having under age people there when there will be alcohol and others there 18+. What do we need to do in order to cover ourselves should we have the party? A wavier/consent for has been proposed but we don't know what other possible things we should be looking at.

This answer is late considering this is a Halloween party. The only thing you can do is absolutely ensure that no minors get access to alcohol. Waiver are practically meaningless in that a 16 year can't sign a contract or other agreement. If a minor is caught with alcohol the responsible adult(s), could be liable.
