Although the timeframes fluctuate, you are looking at about 5 months to have the petition approved. Then, you must wait for an immigrant visa number which can take even longer. For assistance with your case, call my office for a free consultation at 904-371-3538 or email me at [email protected]. It would be best if your mom could naturalize. Then, you would not have to wait for a visa number.
