Legal Question in Immigration Law in North Carolina

I meet a woman online that is here in texas on a tourist visa from the philippines . her tourist visa ends middle of next month. if she & i get married before her visa runs out will she be able to stay her in north carolina as my wife

Hi. Immediately after marriage you should file all of the necessary paperwork with USCIS. Upon filing, she'll be in a period of stay authorized by the Attorney General (POSABAG). Generally speaking and unless there is an intervening criminal issue, ICE does not pursue people in her situation. After filing, you and she will have an interview at either the Durham Field Office or the Charlotte Field Office of USCIS. The purpose of the interview is to test the nature of your relationship and ensure she's eligible to receive permanent resident status. This is a routine case for immigration lawyers but probably the only time you've done it. Thus, a prudent course of action may be to retain counsel to prepare all the paperwork, prepare you both for the interview and attend the interview with you.
