Legal Question in Real Estate Law in North Carolina
North Carolina, mediation agreement. If party 1 has a dispute with party party 2 regarding a house and land and party 2 agrees that he will put property up for sale with in 30 days and pay 80% of sale to party 1 but failed to do so. Can party 1 put a legal lean on property then foreclose ?

No. There are limited ways to put a lien on the property. Party 1 needs to sue to get a lien.
