I would be rich if I had just a penny for every time I hear the exact phrase "I had a court appointed lawyer but he did not do anything". I'd be twice as rich if I had another penny for every time it turned out to be a load of crap. Let's just take things at face value here: 1) you likely decided to drive when you very well likely knew you are not allowed to. 2) then on top of that stupid decision, you made another stupid decision to not (or even worse forgot) to wear your seat belt and got stopped for what is arguably the stupidest reason ever and easiest to prevent - no seat belt. But we are not done yet - the stupid hits just keep on coming! 3) you then likely blew off your ticket and / or didn't go to court / follow up with that court appointed attorney (you say did nothing) and got an OFA and likely a nice extra $200 penalty on top of everything else. And you wanna know what to do? OK 1) don't drive when your license is revoked. 2) if you do drive (and you'd think this would be common sense) drive exceptionally well including wearing your seat belt. 3) follow up with your attorney and do what they tell you to do. 4) quit blaming things other than yourself for your screw ups. Look, I'll admit there's a .00001% possibility that you were suspended and didn't know it, just forgot your seat belt that one time, had a crappy lawyer who botched your case and you are the poor victim of a series of unfortunate events but the more likely version is you screwed up.
