How can I get a power of attorney when my husband is in jail at Johnston County Jail North Carolina

Easy. I assume you are trying to become the agent for your husband so you can manage things while he is away. Mail him a power of attorney form. Notaries are at the prison. Have your husband sign and notarize and mail it back to you.

I am not necessarily endorsing this form. You will have to edit it as appropriate. Once the form is signed and notarized, it must be filed in the register of deeds and at the court. I can draft a power of attorney for a fee; your husband would still need to notarize it. However, if drafted properly, then you would only have to record at the register of deeds.
