Legal Question in Family Law in North Dakota

My husband and I have been trying to gain custody of his daughter because her mom is unfit. While Kameron ( my stepdaughter) is in her custody she is always out partying and lived with her parents who are alcoholics. They drive drunk and while drinking after getting drunk with Kameron in the car. Kameron who is 5 told us about her mom putting white powder in her nose, she got drug tested. Her nails popped positive but her hair didnt because she used detox shampoo but because it was inconclusive they tested the nails again and nothing came up since there is a small time frame that is good for testing. She has neglected to take Kameron in for check ups and her health is terrible. Kameron has had 4 teeth pulled and contracted a blood infection because her mom didnt take her to the dentist after we took Kameron in to get checked. Kameron now has 3 more brown teeth and says she never brushes her teeth. She has no job and has had over 20 boyfriends within 2 years, she was married to one for a year so do the math. She has moved 7 times 4 of which where with boyfriends who later kicked her and Kameron out. She met a new guy about 2 months ago and is now 6 months pregnant with his child and he is still married and has two kids. My question is since we have proof of all of this does she qualify as unfit? I feel like our lawyer isnt doing all he can.

Listen to your lawyer...it is very difficult to remove custody from a mother. You can always seek a 2nd opinion from another family law lawyer. I would guess that your version of the facts will be different than the mothers version, these things are always a fight.
