Legal Question in Disability Law in Ohio

Right to terminate employment

My employer is trying to have my doctor say I have reached MMI. That my one restriction of being near a restroom does not qualify me to do my job.I was doing this job with the one restriction. They removed me from work and said I could not return with having any restrictions. The company has a policy that will only allow 150 days with a restriction.I believe they are trying to terminate me. What can I do about it. Thank you

Re: Right to terminate employment

If I understand your post correctly, you are currently not being allowed to work by your employer, and therefore not being paid. I think your should retain an attorney immediately to send a letter in an attempt to resolve it. If they will not reinstate you with full pay immediately or do fire you, the attorney can file a suit on your behalf. This seems like a restriction for which the employer can make a reasonable accomodation, as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act.
