Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Ohio

medical/ POA right

my mother is at a hospice facitlity in ohio with my totally disabled stepfather. they now refuse to let her leave with him, or even let her take him to a hospital. she has POA, and was told she had those rights anytime she chose when she checked him in... they are keeping him doped up, and my mother had to insist that they hydrate him.... they told her he was there to die, and dying people didnt need food/water....the police were called, and they were going to kick her out, because it was private property.... how can we get help???they cant LEGALLY be doing this...its like murder....

Does your father have a living will and medical power of attorney? Those documents would answer your questions. If you have them I would need to see them to establish your father's wishes and have them enforced.
