I have a company trying to sue me for a debt that is way past the SOL and now has filed a Motion for summary Judgement, what is that and what should I do now?

First of all the statute of limitations in Ohio on a debt is 15 yrs. If in fact you feel you have a Statute of Limitations defense you have to write your own Motion for Summary Judgement setting forth all the evidence you believe supports your position. If there is enough money at stake it may be worth hiring an atty. Also your MSJ should explain why the court should not grant the Plaintiffs MSJ.
