Revoking a power of attorney

If sibling A is named the attorney in fact and sibling B is an alternate attorney in fact in the same POA do we need to revoke the POA for sibling B to take over responsibilities? Is the present POA still valid with siblings A & B just changing roles?

A notarized letter from A to B attached to the POA should do the trick.
