Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Is there a connection between child support and visitation?

If a non-custodial parent does not make their child support payments (hasn't even made an effort), can the custodial parent limit or stop visitation to the non-custodial parent? If not, what can the custodial parent do?

Legally, visitation and support are independent of each other. If someone is not fulfilling a support obligation a contempt motion should be filed. You might check with the Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA)to get advice about your specific situation.
