errors

if a motion of contempt is filed with errors and then is discovered and whited out is that legal? what is the correct way to correct a mistake on a legal document?

I assume you are talking about the original that should be in the court's legal jacket. If someone other than the judge has altered the document without this being the result of a hearing at which the court makes the change, somebody is in big, big trouble. But you weren't clear in your question as to how the changes were made, by whom how you found out about and what the changes were.
