Effective dates

When do court orders go into effect, on the date of the court hearing or on the date that they are filed at the recorders office?

Re: Effective dates

The Court speaks through its journal. Therefore, it becomes law when the entry is filed with the Clerk of Courts. Sometimes you can speed up the time by having your lawyer prepare the entry pronto.
