Garnishment

1. If a judgement is rendered against someone,how soon do they start taking your money or does a person get to respond? What is the process? I guess the process before judgement and after?

Once they file you will get notice of the intention to garnish. You will have a court date set to attend, so that usually takes a few weeks, but the creditor must file for garnishment first, and there may be delay there as well.
