Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Ohio

Withdrawal of Employment offer

During my interview with a company, I was told that they would match my salary of the 2 jobs that I worked at. I was given an offer of employment with a salary that I agreed to and a schedule that I agreed to. I put in my 2 weeks notice at both of my jobs. Before that schedule was confirmed, the director had told me that she would work my schedule so that I could have 1/2 day off during the week so that I could have a break from the long hours. After further thought, I decided that I was committing to a schedule that was overwhelming and there was no break as we had discussed. I spoke to the director of the agency regarding that issue and she agreed that the schedule was ridiculous. She agreed to change the schedule. When she changed the schedule, my pay changed. I contacted the director(in writing) and asked her if she was going to change my hourly rate since we had agreed that she would match my pay from both jobs. I also let her know that I was still excited about beginning my career at that agency. I was contacted by the assistant director and told that they were not making any changes and withdrawing my offer. This was on the day before my last day at both of my jobs. Is this grounds for a lawsuit?

You have something there - my suggestion is to find the right employment law atty. You need to shop - yellow pages under that heading or internet - key words "employment law" -

A lawyer might save the job for you with a warning letter.
