On Duty Waiting Time
I work for a transportation company we receive our confirmed transportation schedules each day for the following day.
My question is about Engaged to wait time while already on duty, if a consumer cancels their transportation once we arrive to pick them up from there residence.
Can my company make us clock out till our next scheduled run.
Depending on the allowable hours set aside for each appointment the time varies from 30 minutes up to two hours before our next scheduled pickup. This is usually unexpected cancelation due to the confirmed call from the scheduler the previous day before their appointments.

The law gives a great deal of slack to the employer. However in the end the benefit to the employer suggests you should file an equitable action in court.
