Injured While Working as Outside Contractor out of State

I was working as an outside contractor distributing maps in another state when I was hit flush in the side by a full size pick-up truck. I was sited for making a left turn from the right hand lane, however when I put the signal light on to turn left I slowed down,eased my way over and made my turn, which is when I got hit. I was knocked out and could not give my side of the accident,and was sited. Since I was working at the time of the accident is the company I

was working for liable for any injuries,damages accured by vehicle,compensation for lost pay,etc.

It depends on whether you are an employee of the company and acting within the scope of employment or an independent contractor. This depends on various factors not just how you and the company characterize the relationship. Please contact an attorney to determine whether you can obtain Workers' Compensation benefits.
