Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio

Lawyer lying to me.

I have a law suit that is suppose to be settelling. My Lawyer is saying she has got nothing in mail yet when she hasn't checked her mail box. I know she has not checked her mail since last Wed. She said as of Sat. she had not received it.Waiting on check. Heard she is leaving state. Never in her office.Had office phone shut off and sent to her cell phone ,what can I do?

It is not unusual for a settlement check to take a couple of weeks to arrive. I am not sure what you mean by "suppose to be settling." Either it has or it hasn't. If you think there may be a problem and a good deal of time has passed, you can file a complaint with the local bar association or with the Ohio Sup. Ct. Those are extreme situations. In the alternative, you may want to contact another local attorney who can contact her;the opposing attorney (if a lawsuit was filed); or the ins. carrier.
