Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio

Rights to property that I care for

I have owned my home for almost 9 years and part of my fenced-in yard is owned by a group of 10 people. The deed to my home states that I may use the land provided I take care of it, which I have done. The owners have not paid taxes on the land since 1961. I would like to legally acquire the property, where do I start and do I have any legal rights to the property since I have cared for it?

The land should be your via the doctrine of adverse possession. You must file an action in common pleas court to quiet title against all of the other property owners or their heirs to have the situation confirmed.
