life insurance beneficiary

my dad listed me as beneficiary of a life insurance policy. his ex-wife is trying to claim it saying her divorce agreement entitles her. the divorce agreement is not specific on amount of policies she is entitled to but has already claimed at least 2 others. the insurance company is saying we need to come to a compromise. please advise.

I need to see a copy of the divorce decree to give you more information. The insured is the owner of the policies, not the beneficiary, at least until the owner's death.
