medical power of attorney

My father had a stroke in May 2006, and he has no medical power of attorney. How can I deal with this issue? Iam his daughter.

Having suffered a stroke does not necessarily mean he is no longer competent. If he is competent, he still can prepared a living will and health care power of attorney.
